Boxing Programs

Boxing is a sport characterized by short duration, high intensity bursts of activity. It requires significant anaerobic fitness, and works well when included in an overall training program. Boxing's work/rest ratio is approximately 3:1. The nature of boxing requires athletes to sustain power and movement for 3 minutes followed by 1 minute rest. The primary goals of conditioning for boxing are to delay the onset of fatigue by improving the efficiency of oxygen use, and to improve recovery between these intense bursts of activity.

 

Dave is well versed in the sport of Boxing and has successfully incorporated Boxing in the training programs used by the Montgomery County Fire Department.
